Dementia is often an insidious disease. Probably you have never had to deal with it before. Maybe you think that someone with dementia is ‘lost’ from one day to the next. But that is in most cases not. People with dementia often live at home for years and participate in society.
The course of dementia differs per form of dementia and per person. The symptoms are visible in the development of the disease.
